| Most people's everyday lives in the industrialized
world take place at a pace and rhythm that is not conducive
to health, well-being, and creativity. We tend to move, think,
speak, and breathe, at a pace that promotes eventual overwhelm
physically and emotionally. All of which lead towards
stress, chronic pain, and dis-ease.
We will do well to dramatically slow down from
time to time, so that we can enter into flow states that rejuvenate
us, heal us, and give us the opportunity to experience our
life from a heartfelt timeless perspective. With this purpose
in mind we've designed a series of "Mindfulness Practices" that
are essential to the overall Seishindo process. Rather than
attempting to fix something you deem wrong with yourself, our
Mindfulness Practices are meant to help you achieve greater
awareness of yourself and your life circumstances, so you can
live with a greater sense of health, well being, and emotional
balance.
The term "Mindfulness Practices" connotes the
activities engaged in are meant to help you become more aware,
perceptive, and attentive to your "in the moment" experience.
Indeed, your experience is meant to be your teacher. The
more aware you become, the better able you are to adjust your
body, your lifestyle, and your emotional state, so as to greatly
lessen the possibility of stress, pain, and dis-ease showing
up in your system.
We have designed these Mindfulness Practices based
on many years of studying in various disciplines: Aikido, Noguchi
Sei Tai, Tai Chi, Yoga, Hypnosis, Self Hypnosis, Feldenkrais,
Alexander Technique, and various meditation and breathing practices.
We offer these Mindfulness Practices here as a way of introducing
you to Seishindo. Most people find they do best to engage in
such Practices with our support and guidance. If after experimenting
with the Practices you find them to be of definite interest,
please consider working with us either in our teleclasses,
a workshop, or via private sessions. Please also consider signing
up for our twice monthly complimentary newsletter.
