When you experience something directly, then you can sense there is a way of knowing that precedes language and cognition.

The Body - The Somatic Self
The body can be considered to be a form of ongoing communication.

The language of the somatic self
Somatic language forms the basis of the non-cognitive wisdom known as sixth sense, intuition, or somatic intelligence.

From the perspective of a child
For a child, a summer day can seem to last forever. This is part of the beauty of a child's perspective. Poetry
In Seishindo workshops we often use poetry to help us give expression to concepts we are working with, and feelings we are wanting insight into.

Tim Seibles
"I'll probably never die. My life will just go on and on."

David Wagoner
"Stand still. The trees ahead and bushes beside you are not lost."

cb hop
I felt myself going down for the count, spiraling, looping, almost falling over.

George Franklin
"The tops of the trees stream as though through a denser element, but slower than in real time, in the tempo of departure, of mourning."

Judyth Hill
"Wage peace with your breath. Breathe in firemen and rubble, breathe out whole buildings and flocks of red wing blackbirds."

The Tao Te Ching, "the book of flow and harmony", is the fundamental text of Taoism. Its origins lost in the revolutions of Chinese history, it is known to pre-date the invention of paper.

Kudos. Comments from our clients
"The Seishindo workshop "Pure Heart Simple Mind" was the most profound and extraordinary workshop that I have ever attended. Profound because of the miraculous changes that have occurred in me and extraordinary because of the unique methods used to generate those changes."
